I HATE ALLERGIES...

I lived most of my life in the dustbowl that is El Paso, Tx and never once did I ever have any bouts of allergies.

Not.

Once.

I've been up in the mountains of New Mexico for about seven years now and every year I've had to take some form of medication (usually in an injection form and anyone that really knows me knows how I feel about needles) to quell the wrath of the Allergen Gods.

Right now I'm sitting here trying to finish some sketch cards and a cover before I have to go to work but I've got one nostril so stuffed up my ear is plugged and the other is like a faucet in a run down inner-city project sink with the drip...drip...drip.

I remember when I was young I could lay down in tall weedy grass all day and watch the clouds float over me. Now just sitting up in bed is enough to start a sneeze attack that usually lasts half and hour. I read somewhere that everytime you sneeze your heart stops or skips a beat or something. It would be really sad if a guy who has faced quite a few dangers in his three decades and change on earth is taken out by a rampant nasal expulsion attack.

Okay, enough of the wah-wah woe is me bullshit. Here's some tiny girls to make you smile...

  1. Same for me. I grew up alternately in Southern California and Southeastern Pennsylvania and never had allergy issues. I've been in Las Vegas for 20 years now, but only in the last 3 or 4 years have I become an allergy sufferer. Some years are better than others (this being among them), but man, it just sucks when it hits. I feel for ya.

Oh, lovely work, BTW, as always. :)

  2. Sorry about the allergies! My friend has them so bad right now that her whole snot-system has exploded and she can't really do much of anything but be miserable.

Now, for the sob-y bit: Looking over your blog, I realized how glad and happy I am to have 'met' you. Your work always inspires me with the soft, elegant flow of the females (and males...this is a good thing still!). So, I just wanted to say Thank You. Keep up the hard work so I don't have to :D

  4. I have horrible allergies also. Georgia is a horrible place for pollen...

One a good note, I love your Ipop girl a lot. Love the way you made her small in comparison to the Ipop, even the headphones.
