Just a little insight into what I do on the margins and backs of pages that I don't use. I usually start these out just as doodles to figure out lightsources or proportions or just to get a feel for characters before I draw them and they end up like this.



The space rock is me trying to ape something I saw Adam Hughes do in one of his pieces. I really liked the tonal quality he got with his use of grey tones by going light then medium then throwing the strongest shadow smack dab in the middle. Definitely something to think about and maybe adapting to other things and see how it works for me.

Doing some Jams over at the 3rd Rail Design forum and one of them was to gender-bend a character. Now the norm is to take your Punishers or your Wolverines and give 'em breasteseses...


Always the traveller of the path that is of the most resistance, I opted to take an established female character and man her up.

Without further ado (what the fudge is an "ado" anyway?) I present to you Rogue the...uh...rogue who not only charms the pants off of the ladies but also steals their lifeforce and powers thus dooming him to a rather lonely existence.

QUARANTINE!

Netflix is a wonderful thing. Got done watching Quarantine and I have to say that along with Day of the Living Dead it's now one of my top fave zombiesque flicks. The idea was just original enough (well for an American adaptation anyway) and the shocks kept me jumping. The tension was massive and I was on the edge of my sofa cushion the whole time. This is what I think alot of the zombie wanna-be/re-makes are trying to achieve and Quarantine pulled it off with flying colors.

If you like being scared s#!tless then I highly recommend this flick but don't expect a happy ending because if a zombie-type apocalypse was to really happen it would probably start like this!

LOOKOUT!!! HERE COMES...Susan?!?

Saw Monsters vs Aliens a few days ago and this got sketched up. Fun flick, not one of the better CGI films but definitely not one of the worst. I just kept wondering where Jet Jaguar was the whole time.
