I wanted to draw up a Venom that didn't have all the trademark trappings: slithering tongue, tendrils and see if I could take him back to his first appearence roots.
When McFarlane first drew him he wasn't as exaggerated as the Venom we all know now and I always liked the sleek killer look as much as I like the veiny, hulking beast look.

ReplyDeleteI like the sleek look of this Venom. It's nice to see him without a giant tongue hanging out, but I'm surprised you didn't draw tendrils.
